FRONT WHEEL DRIVE ENDURO RULES

1. Any 4 or 6 cylinder car with a maximum wheelbase of 105.5 inches and a completely stock body, frame and suspension. No bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment with approved roll bar and door post. Dash must remain plus steering column and pedals must remain stock for the make and model. All insulation under the hood must be removed. NOTE: any wheelbase 4 or 6 cylinder mini-van allowed to compete.

2. Stock carburetor/fuel injection system for that make and model. Engine to be completely stock. NO modifications allowed. NO air induction devices allowed. Air cleaner must be in original position, stock and complete.

3. Stock transmission for make and model.

4. Battery must remain under the hood. Please wrap with rubber inner tube so positive does not arch if touched by metal.

5. Passenger tires only. Wheels and tires must be of like size and width. NO low profile 60 series tires. Right front wheel must be reinforced to prevent its loss during the race. Plating washers and/or oversized nuts must be used. NO RACING WHEELS AND TIRES.

6. Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model

7. Gas tank: Leave in stock location.

8. Roll bar: Four post roll bar (at least .095 x 1.625 steel tubing) mandatory with mounting plates on each end welded and/or bolted to the floor pan. Minimum of four ½” bolts on each plate. Roll bar must be located directly behind the driver and reach as close as possible to the roof and left side of the car as possible.

9. All doors must be welded or chained shut. Driver side doorplate is required. ¼ x 12 plate bolted or welded in the middle of the door form rear to front fender to front of rear fender. If driver’s side door comes open you will be disqualified.

10. Helmets: Must have full face helmets with eye protection.

11. Seat and Seatbelts: May use stock seat and belts if you have two lap belts or may use a racing seat and five point harness if you would like as long as they are securely fastened to the floor. Racing seat and five point harness is highly recommended.

12. All cars must have a windshield or, if windshield is removed car must have 3 braces over the windshield area covered with mesh. All other glass must be removed including headlights, taillights, and outside mirror assembles. Absolutely no broken glass allowed in car.

Windshield wipers and washers are highly recommended if windshield is intact. Window nets are mandatory at Appleton track. Must be able to open easily from inside the car.

13. Car’s interior must be completely gutted except dash and seat.

14. Bumpers must be chained or reinforced to frame to keep them from coming off during the race. Hood must be held down with two (2) hood pins. No chains.

15. Mascots, decorating cars, advertising nicknames, cartoons, etc. are encouraged. Mascots and decorations must be secured so they will not come off during the race.

16. No suggestive language, or symbols allowed on the car. Any car in bad taste will mean disqualification. Please keep it clean and appropriate!!!

17. Your car number should be painted on both sides of the car in contrasting colors at least 18 inches high and 5 inches wide per number.

Should have a number plate of the roof 18 x 18 also.

18. No 2-way radios allowed.

19. You may also have a passenger in your car as long as they have the same safety equipment as the driver. Along with the plate over the passenger door as well. Remember too, if the passenger door comes open you will be disqualified!
