"STATE FAIR TALENT SHOW"

1:00 P.M. – SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 2012

Chuck Brown Memorial Building, Appleton, MN

The Preteen Division is open to contestants age 12 and under only

The Teen Division is open to contestants age 13 through 18 only

The Open Division is open to any contestant, regardless of age

Prizes in each division are $150.00 for 1st, $75.00 for 2nd.

In addition the 1st place winner in each division
earns the right to represent
Swift County
at the Minnesota State Fair
Talent Contest.

Rules:

Vocalists may use recorded accompaniment,
provided it contains
instrumental accompaniment ONLY;

absolutely no vocals are allowed on the recording.

You will be disqualified from winning
any of the prize money or the trip to
the State Fair if you do not comply.

The time limit is 4 minutes and points will be deducted
for contestants going over the limit.

•

If you are already representing another county
at the Minnesota State Fair Talent contest, you will
not be eligible to win any prize money
unless you represent Swift County.

The Judges decisions are final and scores
are not released to contestants or the public.

Contestants will be judged on:

1. Quality of performance (including selection)

2. Stage presence

3. Entertainment value

(All State Fair Trip winners must perform
the same act or musical selection
as used to win the SwiftCounty Fair)

Equipment Provided:

If a sound system is required, all contestants are
required to use the sound system
provided by the Swift County Fair.

A piano will not be available; however,
we can accommodate your keyboard.

  Check-in time

Please plan to be at the Chuck Brown Memorial Building
located at the Swift Co. Fairgrounds
in Appleton, MN by Noon or before on

August 20, 2011.
