The Swift County Fair Board of Directors has made the difficult decision, due to the current pandemic, to cancel the Swift County Fair for 2020. The health and safety of our entire community, guests, volunteers, vendors, exhibitors and the future financial stability of the fair is our top priority. We are also concerned with our ability to keep fair goers safe and cannot risk people becoming ill in connection with a large scale gathering such as the county fair.
The decision to cancel, made with guidance from the Minnesota Federation of County Fairs, International Association of Fairs and local, state and federal guidance, was difficult and not made lightly as it impacts many people and organizations in our county, but we feel it is the best decision for all involved.
We will continue with plans for a bigger and better fair in 2021. Improvements will be made and maintenance will continue this summer on the grounds in preparation for next year’s fair.
If you want to help support the future of the fair now, we are still continuing with the raffle for the 2020 Polaris Ranger and other cash prizes with the drawing to be held on August 23rd.
We hope to see you at the Swift County Fair in 2021.
