            Welcome to the first ever Paint Swatch Challenge.  You will be given 3 paint swatches to be creative.  Please use these colors to choose your fabric and come up with an item to decorate your home.  This contest is similar to our fabric challenge of a few years ago; however, this challenge allows you to choose your own fabric but within the color scope you draw.
            If you would like to join the challenge, please call Jackie Schmidt at 320-394-2451 or 320-297-0692 and request your paint samples.  She will mail them to you.  The paint samples will be randomly drawn by Jackie and no two set of samples are alike.
            Adding more colors is allowed but you must have some of each of the assigned colors on the top side of your project.  At the time you exhibit you project, the paint color swatches must be attached to your entry in some fashion. 
            These entries are due at the same time as other open class entries at the Swift County Fair i.e. Wednesday, August 17th, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.
 
          This judging criteria for this contest is as follows:
          How well you coordinated the colors in your project    33 1/3%
          (when you attach your paint swatches to the finished project, how well do they coordinate)
          Workmanship (does it look neat and finished)                        33 1/3%
          Creativity (how clever were you)                                         33 1/3
